Well, we’ve done it. We’re now the owners of an 1152 square foot home in slightly to the left of The Middle of Nowhere. It wasn’t so bad. Lots of forms to sign. Lots of wrist cramping. All good though cuz in a month, we renovate so Treva can get into the bedrooms and the bathroom. She’ll move in, and after the wedding, so wil I.
I justencouraged Tigress to go shopping. You heard me. I told her to engage in some Retail Therapy. In my own defense… Well I have none, but she has has a hard week at work, but still. I shutter at what’s coming next.
In other news, I hate house buying. It feels like everyone wants a piece of you and no one cares what you want. It doesn’t matter that the bank we wanted has vanished off the face of the Earth. It doesn’t matter that the mortgage company they’re “forcing” us to go with involves higher payment. We signed a contract. I’m not trying to rip off the seller or anything I’m just trying to protect my future family. It’s in God’s hands now. He’s the only one who can do what’s meant to be.
If anyone needs a good computer consultant let me know. We’re looking for clients. I’ll give you the website if you want it, but I’m not putting it on here cuz Google finds everything and I’m trying to maintain some shell of anonymity :).
I’m waiting for the West Wing rerun that is supposed to come on post Nightly News. Instead I am presented with an infomercial on stock trading and how I can pay some guy $99 to teach me a fool proof method of investing and trading currency markets. If I wanted to learn this stuff, I’d pick up a good book for much less than $99. Besides I’ve been to the hotel where they’re holding the workshop and seriously, it’s not that great of a place.
